DStv Installation & Decoder Setup
Arrange a DStv dish installation, decoder setup, Extra View or relocation assessment with a clear equipment and cable quotation.

New dish and decoder installations
Provide the decoder model and number of viewing points. The installation layout determines the dish position, compatible LNB, cable routes and connection accessories. A site assessment confirms mounting and safe access.
Explora compatibility
Explora models and existing installations can require different LNB and cable arrangements. Send a photo of the decoder model label and existing equipment. Hardware supply and subscriptions must be identified separately in the quote.
Extra View and additional points
List each decoder and room before requesting Extra View. Compatibility, signal distribution and the required communication arrangement need to be checked. Additional subscription fees are outside the installation quote unless expressly included.
Moving your DStv installation
Confirm whether the dish, decoder and cables will be reused or supplied new. At the new property, obtain permission for drilling and dish mounting where necessary. Old cable routes may not be suitable for the new layout.
Installation testing and handover
The agreed work should include checking reception and operation at each quoted point, securing exposed cables and explaining the connections. Confirm cable lengths, roof access, equipment supply and any exclusions before approval.
Arrange an assessment
Send equipment details, photos and your location. Appointment availability, access, diagnostic charges and approved work are confirmed before the visit.
